Well, I'm back, purchasing more Della Bella mineral makeup after a short hiatus. Let me explain-- I love the coverage of mineral makeup and the natural look, but I need something that truly covers, due to some residual acne scarring and hyperpigmenation from my youth. I also need something that is truly non-comedogenic, because although I'd like to think my days of suffering with problem skin are over, the mere mention of the word "oil" seems to make my skin revolt again. And yet, as my skin is starting to show some signs of aging (I'm only 29, but I'm probably my own biggest critic!), I can't use many of the formulations intended for teenage skin. The last, and possibly the most important aspects of what I need/want in a makeup are NO parabens and NO bismuth oxychloride. I practice a very healthy lifestyle and I think there is no reason that my skin care products can't reflect the same level of commitment-- and I'm not really sure why anyone would want contact with anything that is a lead by-product, much less apply it to their face (bismuth oxychloride)!
I have a history of several product lines, some of them costing hundreds of dollars. I have also tried the cheap drug store stuff. Tons of time and money spent on finding that "perfect" product line-- I just thought it didn't exist. Then I tried Della Bella and was very pleased. When I ran out after my initial order, for whatever reason I decided that I would try out another brand (perhaps just a habit with me). I tried MyChelle-- the application process (no mess!) is what persuaded me, but unfortunately, the formulation cannot compare to DB. MyChelle left me feeling greasy and made-up, despite promises to the contrary. Then, I thought I'd give some of the newer store brands a chance. Ridiculously sheer, they are only intended for those with already flawless skin. Then, Aubrey Nicole-- the makeup just slid right off my face, no "sticking" or staying power whatsoever, and I failed to find a good color match for my skin, despite my best efforts.
So, a lot of money and much frustration later, I am back buying what I just should have stuck with all along. Della Bella really covers my skin's imperfections without looking heavy or "mask-like." The staying power is tremendous! It stays there until I take it off, which is really important as a busy working mom. Not to mention that I like to experiment with new colors from time to time, but find it hard to commit to buying a full-size product when most of them just gather dust in my drawer-- DB's samples are an excellent value and a good way to give something a chance before investing in the full-size product. I also like to stash them in my desk at work and my locker at the gym-- I can't always have a full makeup kit on me, you know!
Thanks to Liz and Della Bella for a superior product. I have found a "home" for beauty products. Here's to hoping for a continued expansion of their colors and product lines (mascara, anyone?). Now I just wish that these products were available in my area, but through the magic of the internet, at least I can enjoy them wherever life takes me.

Della Bella Mineral make up is simply the best! I have used other mineral make up brands over the past 6 years. What is so awesome about Della Bella is that is is truly 100% pure. I also love the many different colors in foundation.
I used to use Bare Minerals, but I struggled with the color options. None of the color choices seemed to really match my skin. Della Bella goes on flawlessly and I have a perfect match. My skin has improved and I have seemed to stop the aging process on my face. I love knowing that I am not clogging my pores with harmful fillers.
I also appreciate the SPF of 15 as apposed to the 12 of other brands. A few weeks ago, I was out in the sun all day and forgot to put sunscreen on. (I know, shame on me) My arms and neck got "beet" red, but my face was not even a little bit sunburned. Della Bella is truly AMAZING! Thank you for creating it!

I have extremely sensitive skin and most make-up and cleansers make me break out in a rash.
I didn’t wear any foundation for years because of this. Even when using Clinque, I couldn’t stand it – my face felt clogged and heavy. I wanted to feel like me, not my make-up!

I use far less Della Bella than BE and my face looks smoother and healthier. The coverage is so much better with Della Bella and I don’t have to reapply later in the day like I used to with BE. I look younger and my skin looks and feels better than it has in years. I can tell that Della Bella has a better formula just by looking at my face everyday.
Best of all, I feel like me when I wear Della Bella!
